Same day as the Mustard Seed Farm plant swap (709 Clark Avenue, Ames).
Free plants: home-started sweet peppers and tomatoes.
Free pizza: homemade with Iowa wheat, local produce, and other vegetarian ingredients. Also a small supply of Pizza Ranch gluten sensitive, vegetarian pizza.
Hosts: Helen Gunderson and friends.
Free will donations: to Mustard Seed Farm for its water system infrastructure.
Beverages and food: Ames drinking water available. Otherwise bring your own non-alcoholic drink. And if you wish, bring a bag lunch or picnic food.
Seating: Plenty of places to mingle and/or sit at one of Ames neighborhood treasures.
Peppers: large Carmen and Revolution plants ready to put in ground.
Tomatoes: medium height Saint Pierre plants ready to put in ground and smaller plants needing a little more indoor time: Grandma Mary’s, Roma, and San Marzano.
Rhubarb: Also, plenty of rhubarb to harvest and take home.
