May 13th – Free Vegetable Seedlings and Homemade Pizza (Made with homeground Iowa wheat and other local ingredients.)

Saturday, May 13 – 10:00 am through mid-afternoon
Burnett Urban Farm two houses south of Meeker School

Come join urban farmer Helen Gunderson and friends for fun and a feeling of community, obtain some vegetable seedlings, and snack on homemade pizza made with homeground Iowa wheat.

Free will donations encouraged, but definitely not required. All donations will be transferred to Mustard Seed Farm for its new well and rural water system.

Also broccoli, cabbage, kale, and other seedlings.

And what remains of our supply of raised bed kits (repurposed wood, screws, and potting soil.)

Vegetarian pizza made with home ground wheat from Early Morning Harvest and as much of other local produce toppings that we can obtain.

Festivities may also include Irish folk music by Tamsyn Jones and friend Barry.

Note: Mustard Seed Farm is holding a seed and plant exchange that same day at the Romero House in Old Town Ames less than a half mile from Burnett Urban Farm, and we encourage interested folks to visit both the BUF and MSF

If you are decluttering or downsizing and have garden pots, fencing, tools, seeds, or other related items, to donate, check with Helen for advance approval and delivery arrangements.
